Central Markets, Auction House and Second-Hand Shop, is a long established Wellington registered auctioneer and secondhand dealer

We offer auction services for the disposal of goods but are happy to offer direct cash purchase options if the vendor prefers a fixed price.
What do we buy and auction?
Pretty much anything!

- insurance claim/damaged stock
- police lost property
- commercial and industrial disposals
- liquidations
- antiques and collectables
There really isnt much we havent purchased and/or put under the hammer in the last 70 years!
How does an Auctioneer or Auction House work?
Every job is different so we tailor solutions depending on the requirements.
Broadly our objective is to introduce buyer and seller together for the best auction results. We advertise, auction and collect payment for goods sold, charge a commission and forward payment to the vendor.
We service the Wellington region with pickup options for goods to be sold at our rooms.
We can also offer on-Site auction services if required.
